Encore AI has raised $30 million to expand an enterprise AI platform built around a simple idea: companies already have plenty of data showing how their best employees win customers.
The problem is that most of that knowledge is buried inside call recordings, emails, chat logs and customer relationship management systems.
Encore AI wants to pull those patterns out, turn them into repeatable playbooks and deploy them through AI agents across customer-facing operations.
The Series A round was led by Team8, Planven and The Garage. Lukatz, the family office of Yasmin Lukatz, also participated alongside several large commercial banks and insurers that had previously become Encore AI customers.
Encore AI Raises $30M After Rebranding From Insait IO
Encore AI was founded in 2022 by chief executive Dvir Ginzburg under its former name, Insait IO.
The company initially developed recommendation software for financial advisers and relationship managers. It has since broadened that technology into an agentic AI platform capable of analysing customer conversations and using the results to train autonomous or employee-assisted agents.
The new name reflects that wider ambition.
Encore AI is no longer positioning itself as a narrow recommendation engine. It now wants to sit inside sales, service, collections and customer engagement workflows, particularly within regulated industries such as banking and insurance.
The funding will be used to accelerate the global rollout of the platform, including further expansion across Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Encore AI is headquartered in New York and already operates across international markets.
AI Agents Learn From Real Customer Conversations
Encore AI calls its core technology “Interaction Mining.”
The platform connects with data from phone calls, chats, emails and CRM records. It then studies how employees handle different stages of a customer interaction, looking for behaviours linked to successful outcomes.
Those behaviours could include the order in which questions are asked, how objections are handled, which examples are used or when an employee decides to offer another product.
Once those patterns are identified, Encore AI turns them into operational playbooks for its AI agents.
The agents can work directly with customers or sit beside human employees and provide guidance during an active conversation. The company supports channels including voice, chat, interactive voice response and digital form completion.
This is a different pitch from the usual customer-service automation story.
Many AI platforms are sold as a way to cut support costs, shorten queues or prevent customers from reaching a human agent. Encore AI is aiming at revenue instead. It wants its agents to convert leads, finish incomplete applications, recover outstanding balances and identify upselling opportunities.
Banks and Insurers Joined the Funding Round
The investor list carries some weight beyond the headline figure.
Several commercial banks and insurance companies reportedly invested after first using Encore AI as customers. The institutions were not publicly identified, but their participation suggests the product is being tested inside the same regulated businesses Encore AI wants to target at scale.
Financial services companies are not easy places to deploy autonomous AI.
Customer conversations can involve sensitive financial information, product suitability rules, disclosure requirements and strict recordkeeping obligations. A sales agent that performs well but cannot explain how it reached a decision is not particularly useful to a bank.
Encore AI says its platform is designed for these more controlled environments. That claim will matter as financial institutions move agentic AI from small experiments into systems that directly interact with customers.
Having banks and insurers on the cap table may also help the company refine its compliance controls and workflows before pursuing a larger rollout.
Encore AI Targets Revenue Rather Than Call Deflection
Ginzburg argues that most organisations already possess the data required to improve customer interactions.
Their strongest employees have spent years showing what works. The details are simply scattered across thousands of conversations.
Encore AI’s platform is designed to detect those differences and reproduce them at scale.
That could mean copying the phrasing used by a successful relationship manager, recognising when a prospect needs reassurance or selecting the right example to move an application forward. Ginzburg told TechCrunch that the agents can even repeat anecdotes and conversational techniques used by top-performing employees because the system builds its playbooks from real interactions.
It sounds useful. It also opens a more complicated question.
Customer conversations are not just collections of winning phrases. Tone, timing, trust and personal judgement all matter. Reproducing the visible behaviour of a successful employee does not automatically reproduce the judgement behind it.
Encore AI will need to prove that its agents can tell the difference.
Agentic AI Funding Moves Deeper Into Fintech Operations
The $30 million raise lands as fintech companies and financial institutions are moving beyond basic chatbots.
The next wave of enterprise AI is expected to involve systems that do more than answer questions. These agents can retrieve records, update applications, guide employees and complete parts of a customer workflow without waiting for a new instruction at every step.
That makes the technology more valuable, but also harder to control.
Encore AI is betting that financial institutions will accept that trade-off when the system is trained on their own interactions rather than a generic customer-service script.
The company now has fresh capital, strategic investors and a clearer identity following its rebrand. The harder part comes next: proving that AI agents trained on top performers can improve revenue without creating new compliance, privacy or customer-experience problems.
