Singapore-based investment platform Arki Finance has received a Capital Markets Services licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, marking a key step ahead of its planned public launch later this year.
The licence allows Arki Finance to provide regulated investment advisory and portfolio management services to individual investors in Singapore. The approval positions the company to enter the country’s competitive wealthtech market, where digital platforms are increasingly targeting investors looking for alternatives to traditional savings products.
Arki Finance to Start With Cash Income Product
Arki Finance plans to begin its offering with a cash income product before expanding into income and growth portfolios. These products will be aimed at Singapore’s mass affluent segment, a group of investors seeking professionally managed options beyond bank deposits and insurance-linked products.
The company’s approach reflects growing demand in Singapore for accessible investment solutions that combine digital convenience with regulated portfolio management.
Founded by Former Asset Management Executives
Arki Finance was established in 2024 as Arche Asset Management. It was co-founded by David Ng, who brings more than two decades of experience in global asset management.
Ng previously held roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. He also served as group chief operating officer of CSOP Asset Management in Singapore, where he helped oversee growth in assets under management from US$3.7 billion to more than US$15 billion, according to the company.
Arki’s board will be chaired by Esmond Choo, a former senior executive director at UOB Kay Hian.
Advisory Board Includes Industry Veterans
The company has also assembled an advisory board with senior investment industry experience. Members include Gerard Lee, former chief executive of Lion Global Investors, who previously worked at GIC and Temasek, as well as Rimmo Jolly, former Asia Pacific head of iShares at BlackRock.
The leadership and advisory structure may help Arki Finance build credibility as it prepares to enter Singapore’s regulated investment services market.
Singapore Wealthtech Market Continues to Evolve
Arki Finance’s MAS licence comes as Singapore continues to strengthen its position as a regional wealth management and fintech hub. With more consumers seeking digital-first investment platforms, licensed wealthtech providers are competing to serve investors who want more flexible options for cash management, income generation, and long-term growth.
For Arki Finance, the licence provides a regulatory foundation to launch its services and build a product suite for Singapore investors.
As the company moves toward its public launch, its first cash income product will likely be closely watched by investors and fintech observers tracking the next phase of Singapore’s wealthtech sector.
