Zilo, a UK-based transfer agency software provider, has appointed industry veteran Andrew Cole as its new chief operating officer (COO), effective immediately.
Cole, who will be based in London and report directly to CEO Phil Goffin, brings more than 25 years of experience in financial services. According to Zilo, the new COO will coordinate operations across all the company’s divisions, with a “particular focus” on areas such as information security, legal, finance, service delivery, and governance resilience.
In addition, Cole will also support the firm’s international expansion efforts following its recent £20 million Series A2 funding round completed last month, which builds on the £25 million Series A round raised in January 2024. Goffin previously said the funding will drive “expansion into several strategic target markets”, as well as the development of AI tools for asset and wealth management.
Cole succeeds the COO position from former HSBC executive Jon Willis, who departed Zilo in June after 10 months in the role. He joins Zilo following a decade-long career at Fidelity International, where he most recently served as head of global platform solutions delivery. Prior to this, Cole had also worked at Deloitte, Investec, JP Morgan, and Barclays, where he served as global head of the bank’s wealth services division.
