Australian fintech firm Zeller expands to UK in first overseas move

Australian fintech Zeller is expanding into the UK, marking its first international move.

Founded in 2020 in Melbourne, Zeller offers banking and payment tools for small businesses.

The company appointed former ByteDance executive Lars Weber as UK country manager and plans to hire 40 staff within three years.

Zeller’s UK rollout will be supported by integrations with partners such as Oracle, Xero, Tevalis, and Redcat.

UK customers will have access to payment processing, business accounts, cards, expense management, invoicing, and financial reporting features, similar to those offered in Australia.

Zeller serves over 100,000 businesses in Australia and reached unicorn status after a AU$100 million (US$66 million) series B round in 2022.

Investors in Zeller include Hostplus and Square Peg.
