SBI Group in Japan has selected US cloud banking solutions provider nCino to power its newly launched mortgage loan guarantee business, SBI Credit Guarantee.
SBI Credit Guarantee commenced operations in April as a result of a joint venture between SBI Aruhi, the largest mortgage company in Japan, and SBI Shinsei Bank. The division focuses on providing guarantor services for home loans provided by SBI Aruhi, as well as the wider Japanese rental market.
To support this remit, SBI Credit Guarantee will now run on the nCino platform, which the vendor states “integrates the entire mortgage process, from application to screening and contract execution”.
“The company achieved an exceptionally fast implementation, enabling a swift market launch,” the company’s statement adds. The same platform is currently used by San ju San Bank, Tokushima Taisho Bank, Kiraboshi Bank, and Saikyo Bank in Japan, spanning a variety of targeted applications.
