Raiffeisen Bank dd Bosnia-Herzegovina, a subsidiary of Austria’s Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI), has gone live with Temenos’ core banking system for its retail operations.
Temenos says the go-live “marks a significant milestone” for the bank in its core modernisation initiative. “Additional capabilities” are expected to be migrated over time from the legacy tech to Temenos.
The system has been deployed on Red Hat’s OpenShift hybrid cloud.
The project has been carried out with Tech Mahindra as the delivery partner, in “close collaboration” with Temenos’ and the bank’s teams.
Raiffeisen Bank dd Bosnia-Herzegovina joins a number of other subsidiaries within the RBI group that are already running Temenos’ core banking software, including Kosovo, Slovakia and Poland.
RBI operates in Austria and across 11 markets of Central and Eastern Europe, with €200 billion of total assets. Its Bosnian subsidiary is the second largest in the country and serves around 500,000 retail, corporate and SME customers.
Kreshnik Halili, Board Member for Operations and IT, Raiffeisen Bank dd Bosnia-Herzegovina, says the new solution “has already proven its worth in other parts of the RBI group” and will provide the bank with more flexibility, efficiency and scope for growth.
