BVNK to power stablecoin payment pilots for Visa Direct

Visa has expanded its partnership with US fintech BVNK, with the payments giant set to utilise BVNK’s infrastructure to power stablecoin payment pilots for its money movement network Visa Direct.

The partnership builds on Visa Ventures’ investment in BVNK in May 2025.

BVNK says its stablecoin infrastructure will help to “power Visa Direct’s stablecoin services in select markets, including stablecoin pre-funding, enabling certain select business customers to fund Visa Direct payouts using stablecoins instead of only fiat, and payouts to end recipients in stablecoins”.

The fintech says the rollout will initially target Visa markets where there is a high demand for digital asset payments, with a broader expansion into other global markets set to follow.

BVNK, established in 2021, claims to now process over $30 billion in stablecoin payments annually across more than 130 counties. The partnership with Visa also comes just days after BVNK secured access to the EU’s single euro payments area (SEPA) payments scheme.
