BMW Bank adopts FIS platform for deposit services

BMW Bank - FinTech News

BMW Bank, a subsidiary of the German automotive giant, has implemented a new deposits-as-a-service solution provided by financial technology firm FIS

The transition, completed in Q2 2025, involved migrating over 300,000 deposit accounts to the new platform, which integrates FIS K-Core24 and FIS K-e-Banking technologies.

FIS says the implementation seeks to drive efficiency through the bank’s lending and deposits business. K-Core24 is a Unix-based standard core banking system that, aside from deposits, also supports lending and account settlement.

The system has been on the market for over 40 years, having first been developed by Siemens in 1982. Siemens eventually folded the technology into Kordoba, a Siemens subsidiary acquired by FIS in 2004.

Also included in the go-live is an updated version of the K-e-Banking platform, featuring two-factor authentication security tools and merchant functions that will enable direct transaction processing between BMW Bank and merchant clients.

Based in Munich, BMW Bank provides financial services such as vehicle financing, leasing, and deposit accounts. The bank operates in several European countries, primarily serving BMW customers, dealers, and corporate clients.
