Chicago Trading Company names Lauren Rauch and Josh Schubkegel as co-CEOs

The Chicago Trading Company (CTC), a trading firm specialising in options market making, systematic strategies, and trading technology, has appointed Lauren Rauch and Josh Schubkegel as co-CEOs, effective 1 January 2026.

Rauch has worked at CTC for over two decades, most recently as chief operating officer since September 2023. Likewise, Schubkegel is currently the firm’s chief technology officer and has also served in the position for Akuna Capital, Sandia Point, and REDI Technologies, a fintech company formerly owned by Goldman Sachs before being spun off to an independent consortium in 2013, before being acquired by Thomson Reuters.

The pair will take over from Jonathan Grodnick, who succeeded Daniel Feuser as the firm’s CEO in January 2023. Grodnick will remain on the company’s board of directors, headed by Feuser as chair. The transition represents the latest evolution in CTC’s leadership structure since its founding by Eric Chern and Andrew Hall in 1995.

The firm has not yet announced who will fill the COO and CTO positions following Rauch and Schubkegel’s promotion to the co-CEO roles.
