FE fundinfo bolsters data analytics capabilities with Contengo acquisition

FE fundinfo - fintech news

Financial data firm FE fundinfo has acquired UK-based fintech Contengo to enhance its insights and analytics services for financial advisers. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Contengo, founded in 2020 by CEO Louisa Southey, has established itself as a provider of wealth analytics, performance reporting, and data migration solutions for independent financial advisers. The firm’s data engine enables evidence-based decision-making by collecting and processing transaction information from adviser platforms and back-office systems, channelling this into a centralised control module.

With the acquisition, FE fundinfo will integrate Contengo’s solutions into its new command deck suite within its Nexus investment management platform, which launched in November. This integration aims to enhance personalised financial advice through improved fee visibility, automated data processing, streamlined cost monitoring, and real-time scenario modelling based on live valuations and transaction history.

Moreover, the enhanced platform will deliver AI-powered money-weighted performance insights, offering financial advisers a deeper understanding of portfolio performance and its underlying factors. Advisers will also now be able to benchmark against simulated portfolios and demonstrate Consumer Duty compliance through comparative outcome analysis.

The Contengo acquisition continues FE fundinfo’s expansion strategy following recent deals for financial content start-up Lunar AI, data management firm Fundipedia, and Dutch software provider Matterhorn Reporting Services.
