Chime Workplace offers a suite of financial wellness tools designed to help employees manage their money, save for the future, and build credit. The suite combines Chime’s SpotMe feature for fee-free overdraft coverage, as well as MyPay for early salary access.
Chime says that through the integration, Workday customers will have the ability to enable benefits for their employees through their Employer Benefits Selection portal, gaining “real-time, actionable insights on how to improve the financial well-being of their workforce”.
Chime Enterprise chief Jason Lee says the partnership aims to provide “measurable improvements in financial health” for employees, while Cristina Goldt, general manager of HCM, workforce management and payroll at Workday, adds that integration of Chime Workplace aims to help clients enable “a more financially confident and resilient workforce”.
Chime launched Chime Workplace in March this year, following its 2024 acquisition of Salt Labs, an employee rewards app previously led by Lee as CEO, which allows employees to accrue points based on the number of hours they work. The start-up had previously been backed by investors Fin Capital, Anthem Venture Partners, and Third Prime.
