Intellect says the go-live will initially focus on FIBE’s consumer segment.
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt (FIBE) has implemented the eMACH.ai Digital Engagement Platform (DEP) of existing partner Intellect Design Arena in a move aimed at enhancing the customer experience for retail and commercial banking customers.
eMACH.ai DEP, launched by Intellect in June 2024, offers a codeless, open finance-enabled solution for self-service and assisted channels, working across customer acquisitions, engagement and retention.
FIBE has implemented the solution for front-to-back mobile and internet banking enhancements, with Intellect stating that customer onboarding can now be completed in just three minutes.
The bank will now be able to use chatbots to engage with customers in Arabic, as part of a revamped self-service capability able to handle general inquiries, transfers, bill payments, card services, and bank statements. The platform is fitted with over 750 front-end journeys, 520 open APIs and more than 45 events, enabling future developments and integrations.
Intellect says the initial focus of the go-live with FIBE will fall on the bank’s consumer segment, adding that eMACH.ai DEP “is designed to scale across SME and corporate segments, enabling end-to-end digitisation of FIBE’s full customer lifecycle from individuals to institutions”.
FIBE, founded in 1979 as the first Islamic commercial bank in Egypt, previously selected Intellect’s CBX Retail (CBX-R) solution in 2023 for digital capabilities across customer onboarding and credit products. The implementation was assisted by Intellect’s regional partner, Summit Technology Solutions.
