Cytracom has acquired Tentacle, a platform that helps businesses manage cybersecurity assessments, monitor third-party risk, and operate GRC programmes.
The deal marks a major expansion of Cytracom’s Security Risk Management (SRM) strategy. It supports the company’s mission to enable MSPs to shift from traditional IT services to becoming strategic risk advisors.
As regulatory scrutiny and pressure from cyber insurers increase, MSPs are being tasked with guiding clients through complex compliance obligations and helping them improve their security posture. The integration of Tentacle into Cytracom’s platform offers MSPs structured, repeatable, and collaborative tools that make it easier to deliver these enhanced risk and compliance services.
Cytracom initially entered the SRM sector through its acquisition of Telivy, which allowed MSPs to automate risk assessments, provide recurring compliance documentation, and offer consultative services. The addition of Tentacle builds on this, enabling partners to centralise security programme data, collaborate with clients and third parties in real time, and align internal practices with standards such as HIPAA, PCI, and FTC Safeguards. Tentacle’s platform simplifies the ongoing assessment process while supporting continuous programme management rather than one-time reviews.
Tentacle also helps address the growing demand for compliance services within the MSP sector. Small and medium-sized businesses are increasingly subject to regulatory frameworks, industry mandates, and cyber insurance audits. Tentacle’s capabilities to manage assessment data, third-party relationships, and audit preparedness make it a critical addition to Cytracom’s vision of simplifying SRM and GRC for MSPs.
Cytracom CEO Zane Conkle said, “MSPs are increasingly being asked to manage risk as much as they manage technology. This shift creates both a challenge and an opportunity. With the acquisition of Tentacle, we’re giving our partners the platform they need to step into this evolving role with confidence—helping clients navigate compliance, track progress over time, and build programs that stand up to external scrutiny, while also enabling MSPs to clearly demonstrate the ongoing value of their services.”
Cytracom chief commercial officer John Tippett said, “This is another step forward in building a complete platform that empowers MSPs to connect the modern workforce—securely, reliably, and within the evolving frameworks of GRC. Whether it’s unified communications, secure access, or risk management, our focus remains on making these capabilities accessible, intuitive, and impactful for the partners who deliver them every day.”
Cytracom chief product officer Rob McDonald added, “We’ve been investing heavily in Telivy as a platform for recurring cybersecurity assessments and compliance workflows. Bringing in Tentacle’s proven technology allows us to combine their robust architecture with our existing development strategy, resulting in a dramatic acceleration of what we can bring to market. It significantly advances our mission to give MSPs scalable, differentiated tools for security and compliance.”
By incorporating Tentacle into its broader infrastructure software platform, Cytracom continues to strengthen its offering, equipping MSPs to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant services through a unified platform built specifically for their channel.
