Bank of Sydney (BoS) in Australia has partnered with Indian tech heavyweight Infosys Finacle to modernise its digital banking services.
The bank has selected the Infosys Finacle digital banking suite, which includes the Finacle core banking platform, Finacle digital engagement hub, and online banking, mobile banking and digital onboarding solutions, deployed via Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and hosted on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud.
The $4.3 billion-asset bank previously selected Fiserv’s DigitalAccess solution back in 2017 to power its online and mobile banking services, and has been running on the vendor’s Signature core banking platform.
The Finacle upgrade is expected to span both internal operations and consumer channels at BoS, providing omnichannel self-service capabilities through mobile and online banking enhancements.
BoS CEO Melos Sulicich says the partnership with Infosys aligns with plans to “drive significant business growth in the coming years”, and will address “the evolving needs of our business, customers, and regulatory ecosystem”.
Formerly known as Beirut Hellenic Bank, BoS operates as a subsidiary of Bank of Beirut, and provides a full range of retail and business banking services throughout Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
